From adventures in the jungle to frolicking in the sunshine, shorts have always been the staple item for summer. Coming in long or short there are many different options for a relaxed summer look.
Traditionally, shorts were mostly worn by young boys as school clothing, only given their first pair of trousers once they became teenagers. It was only in times of war, where soldiers were deployed to tropical locations that it was deemed socially acceptable for men to wear shorts. Women caught up with the trend too after past social conditions meant that for modesty, women did not wear shorts.
Still seen as too casual for the office, shorts have become the item we want to wear when the rays of sunshine first glimmer through our windows in the morning. From denim to tailored, their colours and length are vast and so are the trends.
