Automated Email Responses

During the trade in process to turn your old CDs, DVDs and Games into money, our system will automatically generate some emails. To ensure that you do not miss any of these, please check your spam/junk mail folders (or the Promotions tab on Gmail) if you do not receive them within your normal Inbox, and 'allow us/mark as safe' for the future.

Deleting Your Personal Information

iPad / iPhone / iPod Touch

Backing up your data

To backup your data before removing your content, just connect your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch to iTunes on your computer. In the panel on the left, Right click on your device, and select the "Backup" option. iTunes will then automatically back up all your data.

Erasing ALL content on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch:

Important: This will completely remove ALL content from your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, so please make sure you have backed up your data to your computer, if you do not wish to lose it.

    • Disconnect your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch from your computer.
    • Click the following options: "Settings" > "General" > "Reset".
    • Then select "Erase All Content and Settings".
    • Click the red "Erase" button to confirm.

During the removal process, you'll see an Apple logo with a progress bars. Once completed, all your device's data will have been erased.

iPod Shuffle / iPod Nano / iPod Classic

Erasing ALL content on your iPod

Important: This will completely remove ALL content from your iPod, so please make sure you have backed up your data to your computer, if you do not wish to lose it.

  • Connect your iPod to iTunes on your computer.
  • After a few moments, your device will appear in the panel on the left.
  • Select your iPod to view the summary information in the main iTunes window.
  • Then simply click the "Restore" button.

When you've clicked "Restore" a progress bar will appear on the computer screen to show that the restore process has started.

After this, your iTunes will present one of two messages with instructions that are specific to the iPod model you're restoring.

  1. Disconnect iPod and connect it to iPod Power Adapter (typically applies to older iPod models).
  2. Leave iPod connected to computer to complete restore (typically applies to newer iPod models).

During this stage, make sure your iPod is connected to your computer or iPod power adapter so that your device doesn't lose power during restore process.
