Awards season is officially underway as the Golden Globes took place on January 6th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

The biggest scoop of the night went to the Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody<\/em>, winning Best Motion Picture \u201d\u201c Drama. It beat off fierce competition from Black Panther<\/em>, BlacKkKlansman<\/em>, If Beale Street Could Talk<\/em> and Bradley Cooper\u2019s directorial debut, A Star is Born<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Rami Malek, who starred in Bohemian Rhapsody<\/em> as Queen frontman Freddie Mercury, also bagged Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture \u201d\u201c Drama.<\/p>\n

Although it wasn\u2019t named Best Motion Picture, A Star is Born<\/em> did win Best Original Song \u201d\u201c Motion Picture for the Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga duet Shallow<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Richard Madden, who made his name playing Robb Stark in HBO\u2019s Game of Thrones<\/em>, took home the award for Best Performance by an Actor in A Television Series \u201d\u201c Drama for his role as Sergeant David Budd in Bodyguard<\/em>.<\/p>\n
