Try these 6 new kids DVDs!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Popping a DVD on is a great way to keep the kids quiet and get some much needed peace and quiet.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, though, kids can only watch a DVD so many times before getting a bit bored. With 6 whole weeks to fill, your kids have probably watched most of their collection already.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t panic though: here are 6 great new kids DVDs that should keep your little nippers entertained until September. <a href=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/entertainment\/sell-dvds\/\">Sell some DVDs<\/a> to make some space for them!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Rio 2<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/rio-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1307\" alt=\"Rio 2\" src=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/rio-2.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"451\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/rio-2.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/rio-2-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Released today, <i>Rio 2<\/i> is the sequel to surprise 2011 hit about a rare blue macaw and his equally exotic friends.<\/p>\n<p><i>Rio 2<\/i> sees Blu and his family enjoying life in Rio de Janiero, although their home soon comes under threat from illegal loggers. It\u2019s up to Blu and his friends to save the forest through the medium of jokes and songs (there are lots of songs).<\/p>\n<p>The kids will love the colourful characters and songs, while also learning an important lesson about environmental conservation (although they probably won\u2019t mention that one until they\u2019re older&#8230;)<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Khumba: A Zebra\u2019s Tale<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/khumba.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1308\" alt=\"Khumba\" src=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/khumba.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/khumba.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/khumba-300x180.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>South African animation <i>Khumba<\/i> is best described as a combination of <i>Madagascar<\/i> and <i>Ice Age<\/i>, with zebra Khumba going on an adventure to find his herd a new home. Joining him on the journey are Mama V, a wildebeest voiced by Loretta Devine, Skalk, a wild dog voiced by Steve Buscemi and Bradley, a flamboyant ostrich voiced by Richard E. Grant.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not all easy going though, with evil leopard Phango (voiced by none other than Hollywood\u2019s hardest man, Liam Neeson) providing the main threat.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Peppa Pig: 10 Years of Muddy Puddles<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/peppa-pig.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1309\" alt=\"Peppa Pig\" src=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/peppa-pig.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/peppa-pig.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/peppa-pig-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a proven fact that the only things kids love more than making a mess is Peppa Pig.<\/p>\n<p><em>10 Years of Muddy Puddles<\/em>\u00a0combines the best of both worlds, with the best \u201d\u02dcmuddy puddle\u2019 episodes (nope, us either) from the past 10 years compiled onto one handy disc.<\/p>\n<p>This DVD is more or less guaranteed peace and quiet if you\u2019ve got younger kids.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Batman: Assault on Arkham<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/batman.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1310\" alt=\"Batman\" src=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/batman.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/batman.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/batman-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll admit that the Dark Knight probably isn\u2019t the most kid-friendly of superheroes, but a lot of older kids (and, let\u2019s be honest, adults who should know better) can\u2019t get enough of Batman\u2019s crime-fighting adventures in Gotham.<\/p>\n<p>This animated movie sees Batman trying to stop Harley Quinn and her pals from breaking into Arkham Asylum and accessing information from the Riddler, while also trying to deal with a certain evil clown&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><i>Assault on Arkham<\/i> isn\u2019t suitable for younger kids, but it\u2019s ideal for the superhero-lovers in your life.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Muppets Most Wanted<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/muppets.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1311\" alt=\"Muppets\" src=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/muppets.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"432\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/muppets.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/muppets-300x162.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The sequel to Jason Segel\u2019s massively successful <i>Muppets<\/i> revival sees Kermit and friends embroiled in an international crime scheme, which is being carried out by a Kermit doppelganger and his sidekick (Ricky Gervais).<\/p>\n<p>Although it\u2019s not quite as good as Segel\u2019s movie, <i>Most Wanted<\/i> is still very entertaining.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>The Lego Movie<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/the-lego-movie.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1087\" alt=\"The Lego Movie\" src=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/the-lego-movie.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/the-lego-movie.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/the-lego-movie-300x187.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><i>The Lego Movie<\/i> sees the evil Lord Business (played by Will Ferrell) trying to demolish the Lego world and rebuild it using glue (which, as we all know, is nigh-on blasphemy). Regular bloke Emmet (voiced by Chris Pratt, who is currently starring in <i>Guardians of the Galaxy<\/i>) is the figurine enlisted to stop him, along with wizard Vitruvius, a girl called Wyldstyle and, bizarrely, Batman.<\/p>\n<p>It all adds up to one of the strangest yet brilliant movies of the past few years, which is guaranteed to have kids and grown-ups laughing until they cry.<\/p>\n<p>A bit of a warning though: there is a song in the film that will get stuck in your head for days.
