And then, of course, there are the games, which have developed their own reputation for a) being very fun and b) being very funny.<\/p>\n<p>Here are our favourites &#8211; how many have you played?<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Lego Pirates of the Caribbean<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/lego-pirates.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1409\" alt=\"Lego Pirates\" src=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/lego-pirates.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/lego-pirates.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/lego-pirates-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The adventures of Jack Sparrow are recreated entirely in Lego, with high seas battles and swashbuckling duels aplenty. While it might not be the best game ever made, it\u2019s certainly a lot more entertaining than the past couple of <i>Pirates <\/i>movies\u201d\u00a6<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Lego Batman: The Videogame<\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/x52K4e-LP_o\" height=\"315\" width=\"560\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><br \/>\n<i>Lego Batman <\/i>is one of the few Lego games with an original storyline, although Batman fighting escaped villains from Arkham Asylum will be a more than familiar concept to fans of the Dark Knight.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, this fun interpretation of the Batman franchise is a welcome break from the endless darkness of the movie franchise and should keep the kids (and adults who should know better) entertained for a good few hours.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Lego Harry Potter: Years 1 &#8211; 4<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/harry-potter.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1413\" alt=\"Harry Potter\" src=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/harry-potter.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/harry-potter.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/harry-potter-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The<i> Harry Potter<\/i> franchise isn\u2019t exactly the most obvious choice for a videogame adaptation; it\u2019s set in a school, for one, and there is very little in the way of combat or death-defying stunts (unless you count wand-waving and Quidditch).<\/p>\n<p>Add Lego to <i>Harry Potter, <\/i>however, and you\u2019ve suddenly got yourself a game. The charm of Lego Hogwarts and that classic Lego humour more than make up for the lack of traditional videogame characteristics, and make this the best interactive <i>Potter<\/i> adventure yet (especially if you love the books).<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Lego Marvel Super Heroes<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/marvel-super-heroes.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1414\" alt=\"Marvel Super Heroes\" src=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/marvel-super-heroes.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"412\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/marvel-super-heroes.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/marvel-super-heroes-300x154.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Another Lego game with an original plot, <i>Marvel Super Heroes<\/i> is like a super-charged version of <i>The Avengers<\/i>, with all the superheroes you know and love charged with protecting Earth from a planet-eating nasty from outer-space.<\/p>\n<p>And when we say \u201d\u02dcall the superheroes\u2019, we really do mean \u201d\u02dcall the superheroes\u2019; the game lets you control <i>over 150<\/i> different characters from the Marvel Universe!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/lego-batman-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1415\" alt=\"Lego Batman\" src=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/lego-batman-2.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/lego-batman-2.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/lego-batman-2-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Anything Marvel can do, DC can do <i>nearly <\/i>as well. The follow-up to <i>Lego Batman<\/i> lets you play as 70 different characters, including the entire Justice League (finally, we can play as Aquaman!).<\/p>\n<p>The plot is more or less the same the first <i>Lego Batman<\/i> (with added Superman and Lex Luthor) but really &#8211; who plays these games for the plot anyway? All you need to know is that <i>Lego Batman 2 <\/i>is ridiculously fun.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Lego The Lord of the Rings<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/Lego-Lord-of-the-Rings.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1416\" alt=\"Lord of the Rings\" src=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/Lego-Lord-of-the-Rings.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"458\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/Lego-Lord-of-the-Rings.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/Lego-Lord-of-the-Rings-300x171.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The awkwardly-titled <i>Lego The Lord of the Rings<\/i> is a brick-by-brick recreation of the legendary Peter Jackson movie trilogy (and, of course, the original Tolkien novels).<\/p>\n<p>With all of the major battles from the movie covered, <i>The Lord of the Rings<\/i> definitely boasts the highest model-destruction rate of all the Lego games. The best bit, though, is being able to recreate Frodo and Sam\u2019s quest from the Shire to Morder in the game\u2019s free-roaming mode.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>The Lego Movie Videogame<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/the-lego-movie.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1087\" alt=\"The Lego Movie\" src=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/the-lego-movie.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/the-lego-movie.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/the-lego-movie-300x187.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>What list of movie-based Lego games would be complete without the game based on the actual Lego movie? This is a faithful recreation of the awesome movie, with all of the characters we know and love present (and mostly playable).<\/p>\n<p>The only downside is that most of the voice actors from the film don\u2019t reprise their roles (except for cutscenes). Fortunately, the actors impersonating them do a very, very good job!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Dying to play any of the games in this list?
