If you just want to build a serviceable fort and protect yourself from hordes of creepers, that\u2019s fine.<\/p>\n<p>Alternatively, you could dedicate your life to create jaw-dropping masterpieces that\u2019ll earn you global adoration (or at least from people who play <i>Minecraft<\/i>) \u201d\u201c as the people in this post have done.<\/p>\n<p>(WARNING: trying to recreate any of these <i>Minecraft<\/i> creations could result in the loss of your job, your relationships and any kind of social life. It\u2019ll be totally worth it, though).<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Westeros from Game of Thrones<\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/WOZ6RjoNKbw\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Most people who enjoy <i>Game of Thrones<\/i> read the books, or buy the odd t-shirt. Jacob Granberry decided to build the entire continent of Westeros in <i>Minecraft,<\/i> including brick-by-brick recreations of every forest, town and castle.<\/p>\n<p>Although he enlisted the help of other <i>Minecraft <\/i>players, Granberry says building Westeros took thousands of hours. That isn\u2019t too much of a surprise considering <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tor.com\/blogs\/2010\/11\/george-rr-martins-westeros-vs-europe\">Westeros is about the same size as South America<\/a>!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>The Shire and Minas Tirith from The Lord of the Rings<\/h4>\n<p>Ever wanted to chill with the hobbits from <i>The Lord of the Rings<\/i>? Well, here\u2019s your chance: a group of players has recreated the Shire on a dedicated Middle Earth server!<i> <\/i><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GZVWeASSScI\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Think that\u2019s impressive? Check out this recreation of Minas Tirith, the location of one of the series\u2019 biggest battles&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/CjuN8sEfBxc\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Rapture from Bioshock<\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MNxcxnKYPOc\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This recreation of <a href=\"https:\/\/bioshock.wikia.com\/wiki\/Rapture\">the underwater utopia from <i>Bioshock<\/i><\/a> would be impressive enough if it was built on land. However, the creator has gone to the trouble of building it entirely under the sea too.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>The Taj Mahal<\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/jCje8yYXXjQ\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The real Taj Mahal was built by emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved third wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The <i>Minecraft<\/i> Taj Mahal was built because&#8230;erm, it looks cool.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>A level from Sonic The Hedgehog<\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/C_7jmfG3-S8\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Yep, that\u2019s a fully playable 3D version of a level from <i>Sonic The Hedgehog<\/i>, although you control a clunky looking man instead of a turbocharged blue hedgehog.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Galactica from Battlestar Galactica<\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/VEAU_uUAdiY\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This is one for the proper nerds: a life-size recreation of the main spaceship from<i> Battlestar Galactica.<\/i> It took over 4 million blocks to make (and, presumably, a lot of free time).<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>If you\u2019re planning to buy <i>Minecraft <\/i>on the PS4, or simply want some money so you can quit your job and become a full-time <i>Minecraft <\/i>architect, why not <a href=\"https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/entertainment\/trade-in-games\/\">sell your unwanted games with musicMagpie<\/a>?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The beauty of Minecraft \u201d\u201c which is released on the PlayStation 4 today \u201d\u201c is that it can be as simple or complex as you want it to be.
