Today, we\u2019re going to be sharing some of the best albums coming out this festive period. There\u2019s something for most tastes in this post, so you should find &#8211; at the very least &#8211; a few decent stocking-fillers!<\/p>\n<p>(Oh, and in case you missed it, we\u2019ve <a title=\"10 of the Best DVDs Coming Out This Christmas\" href=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/2014\/11\/10\/best-dvds-this-christmas\/\">already shared some of the best DVDs coming out this Christmas<\/a><b><a title=\"10 of the Best DVDs Coming Out This Christmas\" href=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/2014\/11\/10\/best-dvds-this-christmas\/\">.<\/a> <\/b>That\u2019s the movie-lovers in your life sorted!)<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Motion &#8211; Calvin Harris<\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6ACl8s_tBzE\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Scottish mega-DJ Calvin Harris\u2019 music is more \u201d\u02dcall-night raves on Balearic islands\u2019 than \u201d\u02dcjolly Christmas fun\u2019, although his pop-heavy 4th album is perfect for a little boogie while the Christmas sprouts are boiling.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ve probably already heard <i>Summer <\/i>and <i>Blame<\/i> (featuring John Newman), although there\u2019s plenty more to enjoy on the album. Guests include Gwen Stefani, Ellie Goulding, Haim and Hurts.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>The Endless River &#8211; Pink Floyd<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/the-endless-river.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2466\" src=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/the-endless-river.jpg\" alt=\"The Endless River\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/the-endless-river.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/the-endless-river-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Praise be to Pink Floyd: <i>The Endless River<\/i> is the go-to present for Dads this Christmas, saving us all hours hunting down a gift for (traditionally) the most difficult member of the family to buy for.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019ll provide a lovely soundtrack to that post-Christmas dinner lull too (shortly before Dad breaks out the <i>Only Fools and Horses<\/i> boxset).<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Sonic Highways &#8211; Foo Fighters<\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/V_YlZ1JdcVk\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Foo Fighters traveled America to record their latest album, taking inspiration from various culturally significant cities. The result is an epic set of arena-rockers that should get the house rocking on Christmas morning.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, HBO aren\u2019t releasing the accompanying TV series on DVD in time for Christmas.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Bloodstone and Diamonds &#8211; Machine Head<\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ewbdItvn2iI\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Machine Head\u2019s 8th album is a fine collection of the bruising riffs and soaring choruses Robb Flynn and co are known for.<\/p>\n<p>The metalhead in your life will love it, although Granny might not be so keen. Just don\u2019t play <i>Now We Die<\/i> over the Queen\u2019s Speech, whatever you do\u201d\u00a6<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Only Human &#8211; Cheryl<\/h4>\n<p>The artist formerly known as Cheryl Cole\u2019s latest album is ideal for the younger pop lover in the family, with enough singalong choruses and accompanying dance routines to keep them occupied on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and beyond (don\u2019t say we didn\u2019t warn you\u201d\u00a6).<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4><strong>Four &#8211; One Direction<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>We don\u2019t really need to explain this one, do we? You should buy this for any Directioners you know, even if they already have it. Begrudgingly, you\u2019ll probably find yourself singing-along to a few of the tracks too. Admit it, you\u2019re singing <i>Wrapped Up <\/i>now, aren\u2019t you?<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Now That\u2019s What I Call Music! 89<\/h4>\n<p>You know the drill by now: all of this year\u2019s pop hits &#8211; including <i>All About That Bass, Steal My Girl<\/i> and <i>Bang, Bang &#8211;<\/i> on 2 CDs. The Aussie legends are back with 11 tracks of pumping rock n\u2019 roll designed to annoy your parents.
