Whether its due to poor marketing or bad timing, these are among the most underrated games of all time. Well, we\u2019re not having it! Here are our favourite overlooked games \u201d\u201c check them out!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>The Saboteur (PS3, Xbox 360)<\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/XhTizv7XYeU\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Released in 2009, this open-world action adventure, set in Nazi-occupied France, sees you play as Irish racecar mechanic Sean Devlin as he attempts to avenge the death of his best friend at the hands of a nasty Nazi colonel.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a brilliant, ambitious concept matched by some very unique visuals. The game as a whole is slightly unpolished but still, it should have been a hit. So why has no-one heard of it?<\/p>\n<p>Simple: the studio behind the game, Pandemic, was shut down around the same time the game was released and the title received little to no marketing as a result. As no-one heard about<em> The Saboteur<\/em>, no-one bought it and another great game was consigned to history (to date &#8211; perhaps we can get a Kickstarter going for <em>The Sabotuer 2<\/em>?)<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Enslaved: Odyssey to the West (PS3, Xbox 360)<\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/5AbE6vgUVEc\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><em>Enslaved: Odyssey to the West<\/em> is an action adventure game written by Alex Garland, who wrote <em>28 Days Later<\/em> and directed <em>Ex Machina<\/em>, and starring Andy Serkis, best known as Gollum in <em>Lord of the Rings<\/em> and Caesar in <em>Planet of the Apes<\/em>. It received excellent reviews yet sold poorly, with just 730,000 copies sold by September 2011.<\/p>\n<p>While by no means groundbreaking, <em>Enslaved\u2019s<\/em> post-apocalyptic adventuring deserves more attention; it\u2019s pretty cheap these days and its well worth hunting out. <a href=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/entertainment\/trade-in-games\/\">Sell some games<\/a> if you need some extra cash.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Deadly Premonition (PS3, Xbox 360)<\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/u-tAL5rbk7o\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>If you think <em>Twin Peaks: The Video Game<\/em> sounds like the best idea ever, then you need to play <em>Deadly Premonition <\/em>right now.<\/p>\n<p>The similarities between the two are uncanny: set in the small town of Greenvale, the game follows FBI Special Agent <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">Dale Cooper<\/span> Francis York as he tracks down a mysterious serial killer. You even drink coffee to replenish your health!<\/p>\n<p>Needless to say, <em>Deadly Premonition<\/em> is a very weird game. It\u2019s a mix of <em>Shenmue<\/em>, <em>Resident Evil<\/em> and <em>Grand Theft Auto <\/em>and, unsurprisingly, it got extremely mixed reviews \u201d\u201c <a href=\"https:\/\/uk.ign.com\/articles\/2010\/02\/23\/deadly-premonition-review\">IGN gave it 2\/10<\/a>, while <a href=\"https:\/\/uk.ign.com\/articles\/2010\/02\/23\/deadly-premonition-review\">Destructoid gave it a perfect 10<\/a>. We hate to use the old clich\u00c3\u00a9, but this is videogame Marmite in its purest form.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>MadWorld (Nintendo Wii)<\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/-2MYPmbgrI0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>When 80s pop\u2019sters Tears for Fears sang <em>\u201d\u02dcit\u2019s a very, very mad world\u2019<\/em>, they probably weren\u2019t referring to a black-and-white beat-em-up with more blood and guts than a Hannibal Lecter dinner party.<\/p>\n<p>But that\u2019s exactly what MadWorld is, dumping players in a fictional TV show and asking them to survive via any means necessary (at least 10 of them involving dismemberment). Despite cribbing its plot from <em>Smash TV<\/em>, <em>MadWorld <\/em>is unique and the Wii controls make it even more fun.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, despite (or perhaps because of) some censors kicking up a fuss shortly before the game\u2019s release, not many people bothered with <em>MadWorld<\/em>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>SOS: The Final Escape (PS2)<\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/IOCJUbvpOUc\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s probably not surprising that a Japanese earthquake survival simulator didn\u2019t sell that well. It\u2019s not exactly the most cheery of concepts, is it?<\/p>\n<p>Well, more fool the people who missed out (which is&#8230;erm, almost everyone) because <em>SOS: The Final Escape<\/em> is nothing short of a cult classic. As the oddly-named Keith Miyamoto, your only objective is to escape the slowly collapsing city while scrabbling around for water.<\/p>\n<p>Sound difficult? Try doing it while laughing at the terrible voice acting and dodgy sound effects!<em> SOS<\/em> is a unique treasure that will one day get the recognition it deserves.
