Jackson"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Righteous hitman. Leader of Superheroes. Arch nemesis of snakes. Samuel L. Jackson is many things to many people, and we can now add one more prestigious title to that list: the President of the United States.<\/p>\n<p>Yep, the baddest man in Hollywood is playing the most powerful man on the planet in <i>Big Game<\/i>, a film that sees him team up with a young boy to take down a group of terrorists. It\u2019s quite possibly the role he was born to play.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, it\u2019s taken him a long time to get there and there have been a fair few hits and misses along the way. Here is the very best &#8211; and the awful, awful worst &#8211; of Samuel L. Jackson.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><b>The Best<\/b><\/h3>\n<h4><b>Any Tarantino film (especially Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown)<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/s7EdQ4FqbhY\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s no doubt that Jackson is at his best working with Quentin Tarantino. With <i>Django Unchained<\/i>, <i>Jackie Brown<\/i> and, of course, <i>Pulp Fiction<\/i> under their belts, something about the partnership brings out the best in both of them.<\/p>\n<h4><b>The Incredibles<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/eZbzbC9285I\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Big Sam voices Frozone, Mr. Incredible\u2019s best mate and possibly the coolest superhero ever. He enjoyed the role so much that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/filmandtv\/news\/samuel-l-jackson-i-keep-asking-pixar-about-the-inc\/313855\">he kept badgering Pixar to make a sequel<\/a> &#8211; they finally relented last year.<\/p>\n<h4><b>The Avengers (and pretty much every other Marvel movie)<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/NPoHPNeU9fc\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>While most of us know Samuel L. as Jules Winnfield from <i>Pulp Fiction<\/i>, a new generation of film fans know him as Nick Fury, the eye-patched leader of superhero squad S.H.I.E.L.D.<\/p>\n<p>Comic book fans generally agree that he\u2019s the best screen Nick Fury to date, although that\u2019s not hard when your only competition is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0119781\/\">David Hasselhoff<\/a> (sorry Hoff, we love you really).<\/p>\n<h4><b>Jurassic Park<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/RfiQYRn7fBg\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Before Samuel L. Jackson was a Bible-quoting hitman, he was a computer geek who had the best line in <i>Jurassic Park <\/i>before [SPOILERS] getting munched on by velociraptors. Hold on to your butts!<\/p>\n<h4><b>Coach Carter<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/znyAnWUYf2g\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Based on a true story, Sammy plays Ken Carter, a basketball coach trying to help a group of disaffected kids through life\u2019s hardships.<\/p>\n<h4><b>Snakes on a A Plane<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/vkckhcqiwM8\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Snakes are terrorising the passengers of a plane, and only one man is bad enough to stop them: our mate Sam. The film is best known for a line we can\u2019t repeat on a family blog (you know the one\u201d\u00a6).<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><b>The Worst<\/b><\/h3>\n<h4><b>Kite<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/l0l7uphJ-Wg\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Adapted from a Japanese anime, <i>Kite<\/i> has the rare distinction of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rottentomatoes.com\/m\/kite_2014\/\">scoring 0% on Rotten Tomatoes<\/a>. That means literally <i>no-one<\/i> liked it.<\/p>\n<h4><b>Star Wars: The Phantom Menace<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/I6hOlI9cg4o\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Samuel L. Jackson as a Jedi. What could possibly go wrong? Erm&#8230;quite a lot as it turns out. Mainly Jar-Jar Binks, though.<\/p>\n<h4><b>Twisted<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/sjphe2tlKKw\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Jackson phones in his performance as a grizzled police commissioner in this bizarre crime thriller about a drunk police lady. It currently has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rottentomatoes.com\/m\/twisted\/\">a mighty 1% on Rotten Tomatoes<\/a>, which means almost everyone hated it.<\/p>\n<h4><b>The Man<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/uKryYt2bWlk\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Our Sam and Eugene \u201d\u02dcJim\u2019s Dad\u2019 Levy team up for this buddy-action comedy. The final result is almost as dodgy as Jackson\u2019s haircut.<\/p>\n<h4><b>Farce of the Penguins<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GPEC2I4yWIs\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Imagine a mildly funny 3 minute YouTube clip stretched out for two hours and you\u2019ve pretty much got <i>Farce of the Penguins<\/i>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>What\u2019s your favourite Samuel L.
