{"id":4368,"date":"2015-06-15T12:07:55","date_gmt":"2015-06-15T12:07:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/?p=4368"},"modified":"2015-06-15T14:08:55","modified_gmt":"2015-06-15T14:08:55","slug":"what-to-expect-from-e3-2015-xbox-one-ps4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/2015\/06\/15\/what-to-expect-from-e3-2015-xbox-one-ps4\/","title":{"rendered":"What to expect from E3 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>E3 2015 is up and running, and this year\u2019s edition of the biggest event in the gaming calendar promises to be a massive one.<\/p>\n<p>The first conference has already taken place, with Bethesda showing off <b>Fallout 4<\/b>, <b>Doom <\/b>and (surprisingly) <b>Dishonored 2<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>Bethesda revealed <b>Fallout 4 <\/b>will be released on 10th November <i>this year <\/i>(not next year, as widely expected), as well as a ton of new gameplay footage. Fans of the series won\u2019t be disappointed.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/i7QK_yEgsV0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><b>Doom<\/b>, meanwhile, is a souped-up reboot of the beloved original, with players taking on the forces of hell with an arsenal of increasingly ridiculous weaponry. We can\u2019t wait.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/NteAPGprDJk\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Not too much was revealed about <b>Dishonored 2<\/b>, but we know that you can play as both Emily Kaldwin, the rightful heir to the throne, and Corvo, the hero from the first game. The two team up to take on a mystical force that has taken control of Emily\u2019s empire, with players able to either kill or sneak their way through the game (as they could in the first). Here\u2019s what else to expect at E3 2015.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/games-picjumbo.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3915\" src=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/games-picjumbo.jpg\" alt=\"Games controller on table\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/games-picjumbo.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/games-picjumbo-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><b><\/b><\/h3>\n<h3><b>PlayStation 4<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>The Sony press conference takes place tonight, with quite a few exclusives expected.<\/p>\n<p><b>Uncharted 4: A Thief\u2019s End <\/b>is undoubtedly the biggest game expected at Sony\u2019s event, with more footage, details and potentially a playable demo expected before the game\u2019s launch in March 2016. We can also expect more details about <b>Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection <\/b>before the HD remasters are released on the 9th October.<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere, Sony are likely to show off more of <b>No Man\u2019s Sky<\/b>, the massive space exploration game that won \u201d\u02dcBest Original Game\u2019 at last year\u2019s E3. A release date would be nice!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/technology\/gallery\/2015\/jun\/09\/e3-2015-most-anticipated-games\">The Guardian has also claimed<\/a> that <b>The Last Guardian<\/b>, the spiritual successor to <i>Ico <\/i>and <i>Shadow of the Colossus, <\/i>may finally appear this year. It\u2019s been in development since 2007 and last appeared at E3 in 2009, although the sudden reveal of <i>Fallout 4<\/i> proves that anything is possible.<\/p>\n<p>What probably isn\u2019t possible, however, is <b>The Last of Us 2<\/b>. There has been rumblings about its appearance, but we wouldn\u2019t count on it as Naughty Dog are busy with <i>Uncharted 4 <\/i>and <i>The Nathan Drake Collection<\/i>. It will happen eventually, though.<\/p>\n<p>We should also hear more details about Sony\u2019s virtual reality headset, Project Morpheus. We already know that the game will feature two playable characters, Spartan Jameson Locke and Master Chief, and that many of the multiplayer features that turned players off <i>Halo 4<\/i> (such as loadouts and weapon drops) have been removed, although we expect even more details ahead of the game\u2019s launch on the 27th October<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft will also show off the first gameplay footage from <b>Rise of the Tomb Raider<\/b>, which is an Xbox exclusive. The game follows Lara Croft\u2019s exploration of the occult forces she encountered in the first game, and some <i>Far Cry-<\/i>esque crafting features have been added too.<\/p>\n<p>Traditionally, the latest <b>Call of Duty <\/b>campaign is revealed during Microsoft\u2019s press conference too. However, there have been widespread rumours that DLC for <b>Call of Duty: Black Ops 3<\/b> will not appear on Microsoft consoles before Sony\u2019s machines, which could put an end to that little arrangement. Nintendo also revealed a new title for the 3DS, <b>Blastball<\/b>, during yesterday\u2019s Nintendo World Championship.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, Nintendo have confirmed that neither <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gameinformer.com\/b\/news\/archive\/2015\/03\/27\/nintendo-delays-the-legend-of-zelda-for-wii-u-out-of-2015.aspx\"><b>The Legend of Zelda<\/b><\/a> or the mysterious <a href=\"https:\/\/uk.ign.com\/articles\/2015\/05\/11\/nintendo-no-nx-smartphone-or-quality-of-life-announcements-at-e3\">new <b>NX<\/b> console<\/a> will make an appearance.<\/p>\n<p><i>Need some cash to upgrade to a new console? <a href=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/sell-electronics\/trade-in-consoles\/sell-nintendo-ds-games\/\">Sell your Nintendo DS and Wii U<\/a> with musicMagpie! <a href=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/start-selling\/\">Click here for an instant price<\/a>. <\/i><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><b>The best of the rest<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>With <i>Star Wars <\/i>hype hitting extraterrestrial levels ahead of the release of <i>The Force Awakens <\/i>in December, <b>Star Wars Battlefront <\/b>is bound to make a big appearance. A playable demo, perhaps?<\/p>\n<p>The long-awaited <i>Final Fantasy XV<\/i> won\u2019t be appearing (the next big reveal is at Germany\u2019s Gamescomm) but there\u2019s a growing rumour that <a href=\"https:\/\/attackofthefanboy.com\/news\/rumor-final-fantasy-7-remake-to-be-announced-for-ps4-at-e3-2015\/\">the long-requested remake of <b>Final Fantasy VII<\/b> will be unveiled at E3<\/a>. It\u2019s unlikely, but hey, we can dream.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s good news for fans of grumpy cybernetically enhanced heroes too, with <b>Deus Ex: Mankind Divided <\/b>confirmed to appear. <i>Human Revolution\u2019s <\/i>Adam Jensen is the main character again, and it follows <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamesradar.com\/choices-you-make-deus-ex-mankind-divided-will-change-course-story\/\">a similar consequence-based plot structure<\/a> as the previous game. Oh, and those annoying boss fights are gone &#8211; hooray!<\/p>\n<p>If <i>Bloodborne <\/i>hasn\u2019t made you cry with despair\/smash your controller into a million pieces yet, then you\u2019ll be thrilled to know that <b>Dark Souls 3 <\/b>is launching at E3 (as we learnt from <a href=\"https:\/\/uk.ign.com\/articles\/2015\/06\/09\/dark-souls-3-art-confirms-early-2016-release\">some leaked artwork<\/a>). The teeth-grindingly difficult RPG is expected in early 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Another year, another <i>Assassin\u2019s Creed<\/i>. <b>Assassin\u2019s Creed: Syndicate <\/b>is set in London and hopefully won\u2019t be anywhere near as broken as <i>Assassin\u2019s Creed: Unity<\/i>. 2015 is the first year that Ubisoft\u2019s leapy-cutty-men won\u2019t be making an appearance on the 360 or PS3 too.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3kGHHMc5dqE\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Fans of plastic instruments, rejoice! <b>Guitar Hero Live<\/b> and <b>Rock Band 4 <\/b>should both appear at this year\u2019s show, although most of the all-important tracklist info has been released already.<\/p>\n<p>Lego\u2019s answer to <i>Disney Infinity<\/i>, <b>Lego Dimensions<\/b>, will also be making an appearance, much to the joy of those of us who want to buy Lego but don\u2019t have any children\/young relatives.<\/p>\n<p>It has been suggested that Capcom might reveal <b>Resident Evil 7<\/b>, which has been slated for release this year. However, given the awful reception the last game received and the fact they\u2019re making quite a lot of money remaking the old games at the moment, we wouldn\u2019t get your hopes up. A remake of <b>Resident Evil Zero<\/b> will definitely appear, however. We\u2019d happily take a <b>Resident Evil 2 <\/b>remake too.<\/p>\n<p>And finally, we\u2019ll see plenty of <b>Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain<\/b>. Snake\u2019s massively open-world adventure could be his last, as <a href=\"https:\/\/kotaku.com\/konamis-official-word-on-hideo-kojima-1693789490\">series creator Hideo Kojima and Konami have reportedly fallen out<\/a>.
