Unless you use cheats, which, let&#8217;s be honest, most of us probably did back in the day.<\/p>\n<p>Well, as Bob Dylan once said, the times they are a-changing &#8211; because every mission in <em>Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 <\/em>will be unlocked from that start.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re the impatient sort, you\u2019ll be able to jump straight to the last level, pump a few bullets into the last boss, watch the ending and return to multiplayer.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/articles\/2015-10-12-you-can-play-the-last-level-of-call-of-dutys-next-campaign-first\">Speaking to Eurogamer<\/a>, Jason Blundell of Treyarch said the decision was inspired by Netflix\u2019s policy of uploading whole series\u2019 at once.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are so many things vying for our interests today. It\u2019s about, how do they want to consume it? Maybe they put it down on level two, and then they\u2019re in work the next day, and some guy says \u201d\u02dcdude, you\u2019ve got to check out level four!\u2019 And he\u2019s like, \u201d\u02dcokay, I\u2019ll have a quick look\u2019. That\u2019s totally fine. I think it\u2019s their choice.\u201d\u009d<\/p>\n<p>Blundell continued: \u201cIf you see the end you\u2019ll say, I need to understand this more. When Netflix release <em>House of Cards<\/em> and do all the episodes, does everyone just jump to the end and go and play the last episode? Sure you can. But it\u2019s about the journey, though, right?\u201d\u009d<\/p>\n<p>All of which sounds very reasonable, especially when most players pick up <em>Call of Duty <\/em>just for the multiplayer mode (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamezone.com\/news\/only-18-6-of-players-have-completed-cod-black-ops-single-player-campaign\">this article<\/a> suggests only 18.6% of players finished the <em>Black Ops <\/em>campaign).<\/p>\n<p>The move follows the announcement that <em><a href=\"https:\/\/uk.ign.com\/articles\/2015\/04\/17\/star-wars-celebration-battlefront-does-not-have-a-campaign\">Star Wars: Battlefront <\/a><\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/uk.ign.com\/articles\/2015\/04\/17\/star-wars-celebration-battlefront-does-not-have-a-campaign\">won\u2019t feature a campaign mode<\/a> at all.
