Based on the beta released last month, we\u2019re fairly certain it\u2019s going to be great!<\/p>\n<p>However, like the movies, not every <em>StarWars<\/em> game is good. In fact, some of it is so bad that it deserves to be cast into a distant corner of a galaxy far, far away so no-one has to deal with it again.<\/p>\n<p>Ahem. Anyway, here are the best and worst <em>Star Wars <\/em>videogames!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>The Good<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Super Star Wars<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/super-star-wars.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-5082 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/super-star-wars.jpg\" alt=\"Super Star Wars\" width=\"360\" height=\"250\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/super-star-wars.jpg 360w, https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/super-star-wars-300x208.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 360px) 100vw, 360px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Based off the first movie, <em>Super Star Wars <\/em>is basically <em>Contra <\/em>with Han Solo and the gang instead of angry commandos.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s every bit as awesome as that sounds too. You play as various characters, but the objective is always the same: shoot as many Stormtroopers as possible.<\/p>\n<p>Oh, and there were controller-smashingly difficult vehicle levels too, because pretty much every SNES game had to have at least one.<\/p>\n<p>If you fancy playing <em>Super Star Wars<\/em>, you don\u2019t need to dig out your SNEs: it\u2019s being re-released on PS4 and PS Vita this weekend!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xqUqrv6t4HM\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The best <em>Star Wars <\/em>game, bar none.<\/p>\n<p><em>KOTOR <\/em>isn\u2019t actually based on any of the films, instead taking place before Luke Skywalker was even a twinkle in Darth Vader\u2019s eye.<\/p>\n<p>You play as a Jedi coming to terms with the force in time to take down a Sith baddie planning to take over the universe (what else?). We can\u2019t reveal much more without spoiling it, but it\u2019s arguably the best <em>Star Wars <\/em>story not called <em>The Empire Strikes Back<\/em>. Oh yes, it\u2019s that good.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/WqipGrdf_KI\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The first <em>Dark Forces <\/em>was the first <em>Star Wars <\/em>FPS, mimicking <em>Doom <\/em>and throwing in a few lightsabers for good measure.<\/p>\n<p>The sequel took everything good about <em>Dark Forces <\/em>and made it even better, adding even more lightsaber action and introducing an online multiplayer mode so you could slash up your mates too.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Star Wars: Rogue Leader<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/lQiAEeFwXac\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\u201d\u02dcPilot an X-Wing\u2019 is arguably only second to \u201d\u02dcusing a lightsaber\u2019 on any <em>Star Wars <\/em>fans wishlist, which is why <em>Rogue Leader <\/em>is so great.<\/p>\n<p>You take control of your very own ship as fly through ten levels based on the original trilogy, which mainly involves shooting down TIE fighters and eventually navigating the trenches of the Death Star to fire a laser into that incredibly convenient self-destruct hole.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Star Wars: The Force Unleashed<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/RkBiYpD3SDc\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s face it: the Dark Side is cool. Darth Vader, Darth Maul, Boba Fett \u201d\u201c the list goes on.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Force Unleashed <\/em>realised this, casting you as Darth Vader\u2019s apprentice StarKiller (which is almost certainly the name of a high school rock band too) as you slash through rebel forces and hunt Jedi.<\/p>\n<p>The gameplay was fast-paced and finally made wielding a lightsaber as fun as it looks in the films. You also get to do some cool tricks with the Force.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>The Bad<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Kinect Star Wars<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/cb8-520zEhc\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Like the Kinect itself, <em>Kinect Star Wars <\/em>promised so much but delivered so little.<\/p>\n<p>We had dreams of <em>becoming <\/em>a Jedi, swinging our lightsaber in a furious mission to overthrow the Empire.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, we got a few minigames and ended up looking like a bit of plonker waving our hands around in our living room. Not even wearing a hooded dressing gown made it better.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Star Wars: Super Bombad Racing<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2EVQThc-EX0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>2001 was a dark period for the <em>Star Wars <\/em>franchise. <em>The Phantom Menace <\/em>came out. Jar Jar Binks was born. And, worst of all (yep, there was something worse than Jar Jar!), <em>Super Bombad Racing <\/em>was released.<\/p>\n<p><em>Super Bombad Racing <\/em>is a Mario Kart rip-off starring the cast of <em>Star Wars<\/em>. And not Han Solo or Darth Vader either: we\u2019re talking big-headed versions of characters from <em>The Phantom Menace. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Think how annoying it is getting hit by a red shell in <em>Mario Kart<\/em>; now imagine Jar Jar Binks throwing that shell. Urgh, we\u2019re getting angry just thinking about it!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>The Ugly<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Star Wars: Masters of Teras Kasi<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rTElGKKnVIY\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>A <em>Star Wars <\/em>beat-em-up should have been awesome. Imagine <em>Soul Calibur<\/em> but with Darth Vader and Yoda instead!<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, <em>Masters of Teras Kasi <\/em>wasn\u2019t that game. In fact, it was soul-destroyingly terrible.<\/p>\n<p>While you get to play as most of your favourite characters, most of them are useless. The lightsaber-wielding characters half-heartedly wave their weapons, chipping off tiny bits of damage at a time. They could still beat the living daylights out of blaster-weilding characters though, who had to wait for their gun to charge for half the fight.<\/p>\n<p>And it looked terrible too! All in all, chopping your hand off with a lightsaber would be more fun.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Star Wars: Demolition<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/0cS0h-5XVxU\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Hey, remember that bit in <em>Star Wars <\/em>when Luke drove a big tank and blew up stuff for fun?
