With darker tones that suit grown-up Blink perfectly, the band went on to produce California.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/IamcaGta7hY?si=Xcv2RNWSTRLTfXqb\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"4\"><strong>Everything You&#8217;ve Come To Expect &#8211; The Last Shadow Puppets<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In the years since <em>The Age of the Understatement <\/em>was released, Alex Turner has transformed from lovable indie scamp to slick rock n\u2019 roller and Miles Kane has become a solo star in his own right.<\/p>\n<p>It features a wide array of genres that include baroque pop, blue-eyed soul, and psychedelic pop and was definitely highly anticipated back in 2016!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/TTAU7lLDZYU?si=5hsDbsoiqlmZ8s0U\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"5\"><strong>A Moon Shaped Pool &#8211; Radiohead<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In May of 2016 we were graced with Radiohead&#8217;s ninth studio album, <em>A Moon Shaped Pool<\/em>. \u00a0It features strings and choral vocals arranged by guitarist Jonny Greenwood and performed by the London Contemporary Orchestra.<\/p>\n<p>The lyrics address climate change, groupthink and heartbreak, with some suggesting that this album was the result of Thom York&#8217;s split from his then-wife.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/t2NgsJrrAyM?si=npTzLPu3yT3Vcd23\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"6\"><strong>This is Acting &#8211; Sia<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Sia had been churning out songs for other artists, including Rihanna and Beyonce, for years, but it wasn&#8217;t until her album <em>This Is Acting<\/em> that Sia was truly catapulted into the spotlight.<\/p>\n<p><em>This is Acting <\/em>consists solely of songs Sia wrote with other artists in mind but ended up performing herself.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/qL7zrWcv6XY?si=P0e9r6b2fpn6de7f\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"7\"><strong>Views &#8211; Drake<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>No-one would argue if the man who spawned a million memes in 2015 took a nice long break in 2016. After releasing two albums in 2015 that both topped the charts in the US, Drake continued to give us banger after banger with 2016 album <em>Views<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The album debuted at number one on the US <i>Billboard<\/i> 200 and all 20 songs from the album charted on the <i>Billboard<\/i> Hot 100!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em>You\u2019ll find all the latest music releases, as well as 1000s of classic CDs, DVDs and games, on the musicMagpie Store.
