We\u2019re talking thousands of hours, rather than hundreds; months instead of weeks. According to the website <a href=\"https:\/\/wastedondestiny.com\/\"><em>Wasted on Destiny<\/em><\/a>, one player has spent <strong>6522 hours <\/strong>on the game. That works out to around 271 days!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamespot.com\/articles\/you-may-never-finish-destiny-bungie-says\/1100-6421970\/\">Bungie claim that you&#8217;ll never finish <em>Destiny<\/em><\/a>, and a sequel is on the way too. In short, you\u2019ll be playing <em>Destiny <\/em>forever.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MmB9b5njVbA\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Minecraft<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><em>Minecraft <\/em>is simple. You gather resources, build a shelter and try to survive evil monster attacks.<\/p>\n<p>You also have the freedom to build whatever you want, no matter how big or ambitious. Creations range from <a href=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/2015\/08\/12\/you-wont-believe-these-epic-minecraft-creations\/\">a replica of the Taj Mahal<\/a> to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/technology-27155859\">a complete recreation of Denmark<\/a>, each taking countless hours of work.<\/p>\n<p>By May 2014, Xbox 360 gamers had spent 1.75 billion hours, which is <em>199,772 years<\/em>, playing <em>Minecraft. <\/em>Humans have only been on earth for 200,000 years, while civilisation as we know has only existed for 6,000. Technically, the <em>Minecraft <\/em>world should be more advanced than the real world by now.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gloucestershireecho.co.uk\/Cheltenham-man-s-delight-breaking-world-record\/story-27968119-detail\/story.html\">The longest single <em>Minecraft <\/em>session currently stands at 35 hours, 35 minutes and 35 seconds<\/a> and was set by Joe Kelly from Cheltenham as part of a charity fundraiser. He raised more than \u00a32,000 for Cancer Research UK.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7oXSfUzjjV8\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><strong>The Division<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Ubisoft\u2019s new third person MMO shares a lot of similarities with<em> Destiny<\/em>, with players teaming up to complete missions and get sweet gear in a post-apocalyptic version of America.<\/p>\n<p>While the game is too new for anyone to have racked up a jaw-dropping total play time, Ubisoft\u2019s plan to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamespot.com\/articles\/the-division-aiming-for-endless-gameplay\/1100-6423160\/\">offer endless gameplay<\/a> and consistent new content suggest <em>The Division<\/em> will gradually take over your life in a way only a good MMO can.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Football Manager<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Although even the greatest real football managers eventually have to retire, a <em>Football Manager<\/em> career can last forever.<\/p>\n<p>When your virtual manager hits 99, he stops aging and becomes an immortal football god. Some believe this is what will happen to Jose Mourinho, allowing him to torment his fellow managers forever.<\/p>\n<p>The internet is littered with stories of football in the distant future but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/footballmanagergames\/comments\/3fioa1\/the_millenial_sim_is_here_1000_years_of_simming\">this 1000 year simulation<\/a>, in which Sheffield United became the dominant force in football with 167 league titles, is the most impressive of them all.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MRoYEBfM_3A\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Civilization<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The endless game to end them all. <em>Civilization <\/em>casts you as the ruler of an empire and it\u2019s your job to expand and thrive. That includes building cities, sourcing materials and going to war constantly.<\/p>\n<p>While the average game typically lasts a few weeks or months, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/comments\/uxpil\/ive_been_playing_the_same_game_of_civilization_ii\/\">Reddit user Lycerius famously played a game of <em>Civilization II <\/em>for over 10 years<\/a>.
