But some movies are best enjoyed on a huge screen on Blu-Ray. Like&#8230;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zSWdZVtXT7E\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Interstellar<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Imagine going to space, but only being able to look at the wonders of the galaxy through a 5 inch window. That\u2019s what watching <em>Interstellar <\/em>on a phone is like.<\/p>\n<p>A film like this really deserves to be watched on as big a screen as possible; from the dusty barren earth to distant frozen planets, <em>Interstellar <\/em>looks incredible. The final third of the film (you know the bit) is especially jaw-dropping.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/5PSNL1qE6VY\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Avatar<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>If you\u2019re not sure why <em>Avatar <\/em>is the highest grossing movie of all time, look no further than the Blu-Ray: it\u2019s <em>beautiful<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>You can only truly appreciate the work James Cameron put into creating the distant planet of Pandora and the Na\u2019vi on Blu-Ray. It\u2019s a vibrant, colourful world unlike much else seen on screen in the past. We wouldn\u2019t going on holiday there, to be honest.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mZEZ35Fhvuc\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Life of Pi<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>You might expect a film about a boy and a tiger on a small boat to end with a bloodbath, but fortunately <em>Life of Pi <\/em>doesn\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, it\u2019s an inspirational tale that happens to be overwhelming gorgeous too. You could probably hang stills up from this film in an art gallery and get away with it \u201d\u201c it looks that good.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hEJnMQG9ev8\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Mad Max: Fury Road<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><em>Mad Max: Fury Road <\/em>isn\u2019t a pretty movie \u201d\u201c and a film about a desolate post-apocalyptic shouldn\u2019t be \u201d\u201c but its epic scope can only be fully enjoyed on a huge screen in the highest quality possible.<\/p>\n<p>It makes the film even more grand and insane than it already is, with the dust storm chase scene particularly impressive.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/eogpIG53Cis\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Blade Runner<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Ridley Scott\u2019s sci-fi classic has held up surprisingly well over the years, much like its star Harrison Ford.<\/p>\n<p>There are about 800 million different cuts of <em>Blade Runner <\/em>available but the Blu-Ray Final Cut is pretty much the definitive version (although we\u2019re sure some of you will disagree!). You can almost feel the grit and grime of dystopian LA.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/RrAz1YLh8nY\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><strong>The Tree of Life<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Terrance Malick doesn\u2019t make many films, but you can always be sure that they\u2019ll look fantastic when they eventually arrive. With <em>The Tree of Life, <\/em>the visionary filmmaker takes on a subject no less grand than the nature of existence itself. Blimey.<\/p>\n<p>At its core, it\u2019s a very human drama about the death of a child and the effect it has on a family. But Malick goes much further than that, including scenes that encompass nature in its entirety, from the planets to the seas. It\u2019s incredibly grandiose and it\u2019s visually stunning too.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/5guMumPFBag\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Pacific Rim<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>From philosophical musings on spirituality and existence to&#8230;erm, massive robots beating the living daylights out of huge monsters.<\/p>\n<p>Still, <em>Pacific Rim <\/em>is no less a spectacle. Everything about this movie looks fantastic, from the intimidating sheen of the Jaegers to the terrifying scales of the beasts they fight.<\/p>\n<p>Plus, watching big stuff fight each other will never get old (which is why the <em>Transformers <\/em>movies make so much money!).<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Z2UWOeBcsJI\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><strong>2001: A Space Odyssey<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Well, we weren\u2019t going to leave this one out, were we? For a movie made in 1968, <em>2001 <\/em>looks jaw-dropping \u201d\u201c in fact, it\u2019s still one of the most astounding, jaw-dropping movies of all time.<\/p>\n<p>From the apes discovering a monolith to the final, ultra-trippy act, <em>2001 <\/em>is a spectacle you\u2019ll never forget. Even if you don\u2019t really know what\u2019s going on&#8230;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/SPHfeNgogVs\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Any Pixar movie<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>We\u2019re kind of cheating here but pretty much every Pixar movie looks amazing on Blu-Ray. We\u2019ll give special love to <em>Finding Nemo <\/em>and <em>Monster\u2019s Inc<\/em> but no matter what you choose to watch, it\u2019s going to please your peepers.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/PVjA0y78_EQ\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Watchmen: Director\u2019s Cut<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>We could include a couple of superhero movies in here, with <em>The Dark Knight <\/em>and <em>Avengers Assemble <\/em>looking particularly good on Blu-Ray.<\/p>\n<p>Our pick, however, is <em>Watchmen<\/em>. While it isn\u2019t quite as beloved as its Marvel or DC cousins, <em>Watchmen <\/em>looks incredible &#8211; just check out the scene with Dr. Manhattan in Vietnam, or the scenes on Mars. It\u2019s relatively faithful to the source material too, which is widely considered one of the best graphic novels ever produced.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Which movies would you recommend on Blu-Ray?
