The days are longer, the nights are warmer and the sun is shining&#8230;occasionally.<\/p>\n<p>Alright, so this summer has been a bit of a washout so far. But that doesn\u2019t mean you can\u2019t soundtrack it with some awesome tunes. Here\u2019s what\u2019s coming out this month.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/blink.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6103\" src=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/blink.jpg\" alt=\"Blink 182 California\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/blink.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/blink-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>California \u201d\u201c Blink 182 (1<sup>st<\/sup> July)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><em>California <\/em>is the first Blink album since Tom Delonge left the band to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spin.com\/2016\/04\/tom-delonge-chasing-shadows-ufo-book-interview\/\">write books<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/mic.com\/articles\/140196\/why-tom-de-longe-took-a-break-from-blink-182-to-expose-the-truth-about-aliens#.9196XH9Zw\">help NASA hunt UFOs (apparently)<\/a>, with Alkaline Trio\u2019s Matt Skiba (no stranger to writing pop punk anthems himself) replacing him.<\/p>\n<p>Although hearing Blink without Tom is <em>slightly <\/em>weird, <em>California <\/em>is packed full of catchy tunes and the odd alt-rock brooder. It\u2019s one of their best albums to date, the sound of Blink grown up.
