Every Wednesday, we\u2019re going to share some of the albums we\u2019ve been listening over the past week, as well as some upcoming albums we\u2019re looking forward to.<\/p>\n<p>This week, we\u2019ve been listening to a bit of metal, some 80s synth goodness and a couple of Britain\u2019s hottest new acts!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>A Moment of Madness \u201d\u201c Izzy Bizu<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/w.soundcloud.com\/player\/?url=https%3A\/\/api.soundcloud.com\/tracks\/257061367&amp;auto_play=false&amp;hide_related=false&amp;show_comments=true&amp;show_user=true&amp;show_reposts=false&amp;visual=true\" width=\"100%\" height=\"450\" frameborder=\"no\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>British singer-songwriter Izzy Bizu is one of the hottest acts of the moment, with a place on the BBC\u2019s <em>Sound of 2016 <\/em>list and the theme to the BBC\u2019s Euro 2016 coverage under her belt already.<\/p>\n<p>Her debut album <em>A Moment of Madness<\/em> is almost certain to send her to new heights. A one woman solo black metal act, Myrkur\u2019s debut album <em>M <\/em>received critical acclaim last year for combining the traditional elements of the genre with post rock elements and ethereal vocals.<\/p>\n<p>Recorded live in a mausoleum (obviously), <em>Mausoleum <\/em>sees Myrkur stripping back the tracks from <em>M <\/em>so far that they practically sound like new material, replacing distorted guitars and blastbeats with delicate piano and acoustic guitars. If anything, they\u2019re actually getting better with age!<\/p>\n<p><em>Death Resonance <\/em>is a collection of bonus tracks from the band\u2019s previous albums, although pretty much all of them could easily have sat on the main tracklist.<\/p>\n<p>However, the real highlights of <em>Death Resonance <\/em>are the two new tracks: <em>Helsinki <\/em>and <em>Death Resonance<\/em>.
