Here are this week\u2019s picks!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/w.soundcloud.com\/player\/?url=https%3A\/\/api.soundcloud.com\/tracks\/248716091&amp;auto_play=false&amp;hide_related=false&amp;show_comments=true&amp;show_user=true&amp;show_reposts=false&amp;visual=true\" width=\"100%\" height=\"450\" frameborder=\"no\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><strong>For All We Know &#8211; Nao<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Nao, a trained jazz singer, has a rich history in music, with stints as a backing singer for Jarvis Cocker and a ghostwriter for various grime artists, as well as an appearance on the Disclosure track <em>Superego<\/em>, under her belt.<\/p>\n<p><em>For All We Know \u201d\u201c<\/em> Nao\u2019s debut album &#8211; is one of the most interesting pop records of the year, with 18 tracks of sleek 90s R&amp;B given a modern twist with electro-beats and synthpop flourishes and topped off with unique and stunning vocals.<\/p>\n<p>Check it out now and reap in the hipster cred when everyone and their mum is talking about Nao in a year\u2019s time.<\/p>\n<p><em>For All We Know is available now on Little Toyko Recordings. In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jamesvmcmorrow.com\/\">a post on his website<\/a>, he said: \u201cIn every part of this new album I see myself. I hear it in every lyric and every note. And it\u2019s still f***ing terrifying. But it\u2019s exactly what I needed to make. Because I can\u2019t be the person I want to be, or the musician I want to be, unless I pursue what I hear without hesitation.\u201d\u009d<\/p>\n<p><em>We Move <\/em>is McMorrow\u2019s most powerful record, yet also his most enjoyable.<\/p>\n<p><em>We Move is released on 2<sup>nd<\/sup> September on Believe Recordings.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/store.musicmagpie.co.uk\/products\/mcmorrowjawemove\">Pre-order <em>We Move<\/em> by James Vincent McMorrow on CD<\/a> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/store.musicmagpie.co.uk\/products\/mcmorrowjawemove-7514794f-a0bf-4371-acf6-33ee5bb0383a\">Pre-order <em>We Move<\/em> by James Vincent McMorrow on Vinyl<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/w.soundcloud.com\/player\/?url=https%3A\/\/api.soundcloud.com\/tracks\/279907371&amp;auto_play=false&amp;hide_related=false&amp;show_comments=true&amp;show_user=true&amp;show_reposts=false&amp;visual=true\" width=\"100%\" height=\"450\" frameborder=\"no\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Sunlit Youth \u201d\u201c Local Natives <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><em>Sunlight Youth <\/em>is the 3rd album from Los Angeles indie rockers Local Natives and sees them expand their influences even further after the slightly downbeat (but still brilliant) <em>Hummingbird<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Building on their trademark three-part harmonies, manic percussion and Fleet Foxes-esque sound, <em>Sunlit Youth <\/em>adds\u00a0synthesizers into the mix to produce an anthemic and upbeat sound. Songs like <em>Past Lives <\/em>and <em>Fountain of Youth <\/em>are practically aching to be screamed out by a festival crowd next summer.<\/p>\n<p>Lyricially, <em>Sunlit Youth <\/em>is just as positive, with tracks like <em>Past Lives <\/em>and <em>Villainy <\/em>exploring how people fall into destructive cycles of overanalysis and promoting the virtues of living in the moment.<\/p>\n<p>Guitarist\/vocalist Ryan Hahn <a href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/news\/65962-local-natives-announce-new-album-sunlit-youth-world-tour\/\">described the theme of <em>Villainy<\/em><\/a> as \u201c&#8230;realising that you have the ability to change your situation, that you can start again every day. We applied that to how we made music this time around.
