{"id":6766,"date":"2016-12-27T00:01:35","date_gmt":"2016-12-27T00:01:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/?p=6766"},"modified":"2024-02-06T12:52:22","modified_gmt":"2024-02-06T12:52:22","slug":"the-most-traded-cds-dvds-games-and-tech-over-christmas-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/2016\/12\/27\/the-most-traded-cds-dvds-games-and-tech-over-christmas-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"The most traded CDs, DVDs, Games and Tech over Christmas 2016!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We\u2019ve had a very busy Christmas, with people selling over <strong>2.5 million <\/strong>CDs, DVDs, Games and Tech items with us over Christmas Day and Boxing Day \u201d\u201c a record high!<\/p>\n<p>So, what did people sell to us most?<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4><strong>Christmas 2016\u2019s Most Traded CDs<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The most traded CD by some distance was <em>25 <\/em>by Adele, with over <strong>32,000 copies<\/strong> traded in just 48 hours.\u00a0 That\u2019s yet another chart it\u2019s topped!<\/p>\n<p>In second place was Justin Bieber\u2019s <em>Purpose<\/em>, with <strong>25,016 copies<\/strong> traded. We guess telling fans to be quiet and showing up late didn\u2019t go down that well with some people&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Rounding our top five were <em>Now! 93<\/em>, <em>Made in the AM <\/em>by One Direction and <em>A Head Full of Dreams <\/em>by Coldplay.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/infoCD.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6768\" src=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/infoCD.jpg\" alt=\"Top-Traded-CDs-Christmas-2016\" width=\"800\" height=\"680\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/infoCD.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/infoCD-300x255.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/infoCD-768x653.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4><strong>Christmas 2016\u2019s Most Traded DVDs<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><em>Frozen <\/em>was our most traded DVD over Christmas, with <strong>25,840 people<\/strong> deciding to let it go (sorry&#8230;).<\/p>\n<p><em>Spectre<\/em> was a close second, with <strong>24,563 copies<\/strong> traded over the festive period, while <em>Star Wars: The Force Awakens<\/em> was a surprise third with <strong>19,269<\/strong> copies sold.
