Then you\u2019ll love Smash Hit<\/em>!<\/p>\n The premise of Smash Hit<\/em> is simple; destroy as much stuff as possible by throwing balls at it. It\u2019s like Angry Birds<\/em>, if Angry Birds<\/em> was set in a branch of H. Samuel.<\/p>\n Boasting realistic physics, a lovely soundtrack and some seriously arty visuals, Smash It<\/em> is actually quite a beautiful game. But don\u2019t let that distract you from the fact that this is purely a game about smashing stuff – go forth and destroy! Price: Free<\/p>\n Swordigo<\/em> is a throwback to retro side-scrolling hack n\u2019 slash and platform games, drawing on the likes of Ghouls N\u2019 Ghosts<\/em> and Mega Man<\/em>, with a bit of Zelda<\/em> thrown in for good measure.<\/p>\n How much you\u2019ll like this game depends on how excited that last sentence got you \u201d\u201c if you loved any of those games, you\u2019ll probably love this. That said, people not familiar with the classics of the genre might enjoy it too as it\u2019s easy enough to pick up and the graphics are pretty good for a mobile game.<\/p>\n Be warned though; this game is tougher than Phil Mitchell eating a well-done steak. If you want a quick and easy way to pass a couple of minutes, this isn\u2019t for you. Price: 81p<\/p>\n Bad Roads 2<\/em> is one of those inexplicably popular games where you basically do someone else\u2019s job. Playing as Ted the trucker, Bad Roads 2<\/em> tasks you with driving some unsecured goods over some of the worst potholes ever seen (no, the game isn\u2019t set in Britain).<\/p>\n This is simple fun and great for a quick blast on the morning commute. Just don\u2019t expect anything too complex. Price: 59p<\/p>\n Kingdom Rush<\/em> is a tower-defence game in which you have to protect your kingdom from nasty little invaders by building increasingly powerful towers and barracks. Think Plants v. Zombies<\/em> meets Monty Python and the Holy Grail<\/em> and you\u2019re not too far off Kingdom Rush.<\/p>\n While the concept might not appeal to everyone, the gameplay certainly will \u201d\u201c it\u2019s ridiculously addictive. Give it a try; it\u2019ll be the best 60p you ever spend. Price: Free<\/p>\n Combine Temple Run<\/em> and Left 4 Dead<\/em> and you get Into the Dead<\/em>, an endless runner in which you have to avoid hordes of zombies.<\/p>\n At first, you start off with nothing but your bare fists and your feet to escape from the zombies but raising cash through repeat plays (or buying coins – you could sell some games<\/a> if you get really addicted…) allows you to unlock shotguns, chainsaws, pistols and a zombie-hungry dog to help you progress further.<\/p>\n Into the Dead<\/em> is a pretty repetitive game, but the determination to top your old high score will keep you going for hours. Price: Free<\/p>\n New Star Soccer<\/em> is without doubt the best football game on Android, combining retro graphics with a simple-yet-brilliant swipe-and-tap control system.<\/p>\n NSS<\/em> is slightly different to other football games because you only play as a single player, but don\u2019t let that put you off; the career mode (in which you guide your player from non-league to the big leagues) is incredibly addictive.<\/p>\n NSS<\/em> recently made a controversial move to a Free-to-Play model (it previously cost \u00a31.99, but you got all the features from the off) but that doesn\u2019t overshadow the fact that this is a brilliant game. Price: free<\/p>\n Badland<\/em> is one of the best looking games on Android, drawing inspiration from the indie hit Limbo<\/em>.<\/p>\n In fact, the whole game is similar to Limbo<\/em>, with players ensuring the survival of some cute little furballs as they trek through a land of big, nasty machines.<\/p>\n Badland<\/em>\u2019s gameplay is simple but addictive; you tap and hold once and your band of furballs jump up. Let go and they start to fall down. This control system is the basis for a series of trials in which you have to navigate spikes and machines, making the game something of a trial-and-error experience in which you have to determine how long to hold your taps for.<\/p>\n It\u2019s difficult and frustrating, but it\u2019s rewarding and a definite must-have for serious gamers. Price: free<\/p>\n You\u2019re the boss of the Death Star and have to add new weapons, recruit new staff (the Empire gets through Stormtroopers like no-one\u2019s business) and keep the Emperor pleased \u201d\u201c need we say anymore? This is essential for Star Wars<\/em> fans. Price: free<\/p>\n Although Beat The Boss 3<\/em> is technically a game, it could easily be marketed as a health app. You design a boss (it\u2019s up to you whether you make it look like your boss) and then lay merry hell to them using a range of weapons, including machine guns and grenades. It\u2019s the perfect antidote to a terrible day at work \u201d\u201c just don\u2019t get caught playing it by your boss… Price: Free<\/p>\n A simple-yet-beautiful puzzle game in which you have to connect as many same-coloured dots as you can within 60 seconds. It sounds simple, but it\u2019s massively addictive and surprisingly challenging too! Price: Free<\/p>\n Vector<\/em> combines the endless running of Temple Run<\/em> with the parkour craze that took over Britain for about 2 weeks in 2005. Cast as a man escaping from a \u201d\u02dcBig Brother\u2019 society, you have to run from a gang of taser-wielding baddies by jumping, rolling and flipping – all carried out with a single swipe. Earning cash allows you to buy new flips, which make your escapes look even better. Price: \u00a31.49<\/p>\n Radiant HD<\/em> is a space-shooter which is more or less a combination of Space Invaders<\/em> and R-Type<\/em>. Like both of those games, Radiant<\/em> is tough as nails and supremely addictive too. With some awesome retro graphics thrown in, this is a brilliant blast to the past. Price: Free<\/p>\n FPS games don\u2019t tend to work well on mobile devices, but Dead Trigger<\/em> is an exception. If you\u2019ve ever played Call of Duty<\/em>\u2019s Zombies mode, you\u2019ll be more than familiar with the concept of Dead Trigger<\/em>; you\u2019re plonked onto a map and have to survive an ever-present horde of zombies (either by killing them or running away).<\/p>\n Occasionally, you\u2019ll get set an objective or a mission (usually \u201d\u02dccollect this item and return it back to the start\u2019) but the real fun lies in shooting zombies in the face with an uzi.
