A similar thing is happening in Hollywood! Soon, our cinemas will be full of various sequels and reimaginings of some of the best-loved movies in the last few decades. There\u2019s a few we have been eagerly anticipating, and some we can\u2019t quite believe are happening. One of the many films he appeared in at the time was <em>Jumanji<\/em>: the board game made Williams\u2019s character Alan Parrish\u2019s life a misery! The game caused major destruction and Parrish was trapped within it for more than 20 years. <em>Jumanji<\/em>\u2019s rejig will be released just in time for Christmas this year, with an all-star cast that includes Dwayne \u201d\u02dcThe Rock\u2019 Johnson, Jack Black and Bobby Cannavale.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-7876 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/aladdin.jpg\" alt=\"aladdin\" width=\"768\" height=\"433\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/aladdin.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/aladdin-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Aladdin<\/h3>\n<p>The <em>Beauty and the Beast<\/em> live remake was a hit, and now <em>Aladdin<\/em> is set to be remade too. <em>Snatch<\/em> director Guy Ritchie will be out of his comfort zone with this film, which has been sprinkled with controversy since plans for the live remake were announced. From new characters to casting issues, the remake has been hit with criticisms left and right but we\u2019ll wait until it\u2019s released to pass judgement. <em>Aladdin<\/em> is one of the best loved Disney movies ever, so we\u2019re hoping it can do the original justice!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-7877 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/192.168.3.178\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/scarface-1.jpg\" alt=\"scarface\" width=\"750\" height=\"488\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/scarface-1.jpg 750w, https:\/\/www.musicmagpie.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/scarface-1-300x195.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Scarface<\/h3>\n<p>Remaking a certified classic \u201d\u201c considered one of the greatest films of all time \u201d\u201c takes a lot of guts. <em>Scarface<\/em>, the 1983 classic starring Al Pacino as Cuban refugee Tony Montana, is set to be released next summer with an \u201d\u02dcexplosive reimagining\u2019. Who will direct this? Your guess is as good as ours. At present, there isn\u2019t a director or lead actor but Diego Luna could end up portraying the main character. Director James Cameron has admitted to being guilty of \u201d\u02dcoverwriting\u2019 for a follow up so fans of the franchise will be treated to an additional 4 films. <em>Avatar<\/em>, starring Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington, was released in 2009 and made waves in Hollywood. The release date of the sequel has been slated for 2020, having been pushed back from the original date of 2018. For the supposed sequel, it\u2019s believed that NBA superstar LeBron James will feature. Will the Cleveland Cavaliers star play for the Toon Squad or the Monstars? These kinds of details are seemingly up in the air at the moment, but what we do know is that Justin Lin will direct this when the time is right. Lin has been quoted as saying, \u201cThat\u2019s very important to me to do it right; I\u2019ve done nine different iterations already and we\u2019re going to keep going but we\u2019re getting closer every day.\u201d\u009d Star of the original, Michael Jordan was asked who he would like to see star in Space Jam 2 \u201d\u201c and it wasn\u2019t LeBron James. Ford isn\u2019t the only big name to star in this sequel \u201d\u201c Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright and Jared Leto have all been cast for <em>Blade Runner 2049<\/em>. The sequel to the neo-noir science fiction film has been directed by Denis Villeneuve as opposed to the original\u2019s Ridley Scott (although he produced the movie and helped develop the story). Gosling is the new Blade Runner whose discovery leads him to the Blade Runner who disappeared 30 years before, Ford.
