As demand grew for the iPhone, it has added jobs across the globe across a number of sectors. In 2016, it was reported that Apple are responsible for almost half a million jobs within the UK, rising to 1.4 million within Europe. The App Store alone has generated \u00a328 billion since it became available. In Ireland, Apple has around 5,500 employees which made Apple at the time, Cork\u2019s largest private employer.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s no surprise that within America, these figures only grow. Across 50 states, Apple are responsible for two million jobs and there are 80,000 Apple employees. Since 2000, there has been a huge 28 times increase in Apple employment outside the state of California.<\/p>\n
In the last 20 years, Apple has seen a 1,500% growth in U.S employees. There are 1.53 million jobs created and supported by the App Store; 271% growth of app economy jobs and more than $16 billion earned by U.S developers from App Store sales across the world in the last decade.<\/p>\n
