As well as entire armies of extras, Game of Thrones has no problem killing off major characters in increasingly gruesome ways. Throughout the series we’ve seen characters stabbed, poisoned, torn apart, beheaded, burned alive, eaten by dogs (and rats), have their eyes gouged out, and even have molten gold poured on their head.
