Janak Jani was born in London and spent part of his childhood in France and East Africa, before going on to read philosophy at Cambridge. He lived, worked and travelled in over 20 countries in four continents until, enchanted by the magic of Valparaso, he decided to settle down. He now owns and runs a guesthouse there with his wife, Lorena.
