Sha Tahmasebi has always had a passion for the arts, and fell in love with fashion illustration after taking a course in graduate school. Although a scientist by profession, she and a few co-workers started a new business venture called Indah Santi Clothing based in Hawaii. As the designer of a clothing line, she became fascinated with all aspects of design - from illustration, to pattern making, textile selection, sewing and garment construction, and manufacturing. Eager to learn more about this "design process", she left the world of biology and enrolled in the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandizing in Los Angeles. Upon graduating, she accepted a post teaching Fashion Illustration at the American Intercontinental University, where she recognised the need for simple, reliable, and effective techniques that can be used by all students to illustrate and materialize their own designs.
