A Bigger Splash

Semi-fictionalised documentary biography of British artist David Hockney in which he stars as himself. Following a painful break-up, Hockney is rendered unable to paint, causing alarm to his friends. In time he gets back to the canvas, however, painting a swimming pool as the setting for his new work.
