Ealing comedy directed by Charles Frend, starring Donald Houston and Meredith Edwards as two Welsh coalminers. Following a local competition, David (Houston) and Twm (Edwards) earn a cash prize as well as a day out in London which includes tickets to a rugby match at Twickenham. However, when they fail to meet with newspaper reporter Mr. Whimple (Alec Guinness), the pair find themselves in various scrapes, including a prolonged pub crawl and a meeting in a pawn shop with scam artist Jo (Moira Lister).
