Author Rebekah has been inspired by a number of young adult authors, including Lauren Oliver and Suzanne Collins. Her novel is reminiscent of Julie Bertagna's Exodus.

Rebekah Johnson is a wife and mother of three children and lives in a beautiful, bustling market town in Leicestershire. She has had a long career as an infant school teacher. This is her first novel, which started as a pipedream but with grit and determination turned into a book. The second instalment of the series is already in development and there are plans for a third to complete Lily and Mae's story.
