Mozart's Magic Flute opera in two parts, performed in 1999 on the biggest open air stage in Europe, St Margarethen, with the Junge Bundeslander Philharmonic Orchestra. Tamino (Michael Kurz) is rescued while fleeing from a serpent by the Ladies of the Queen of Night (Erika Miklosa). She then charges Tamino with the task of rescuing her daughter, Pamina (Birgit Beer) from the clutches of Sarastro (Maxim Mihailov). When Tamino meets Pamina they fall in love, prompting Sarastro to set them a series of tasks of endurance so that they may join his order.
