'Top Gun' (1986) stars Tom Cruise as Maverick, a young fighter pilot enrolled at Naval college, training with the most gifted flyers of his generation, and competing for the prestigious Top Gun award. Maverick soon establishes himself as one of the best in his class, but his insistence on doing things his own way soon brings him into conflict with his superiors and his main student rival: the Iceman (Val Kilmer). 'Forrest Gump' (1994) stars Tom Hanks as the good-natured simpleton of the title who recounts his life's progress, from crippled child to decorated military hero, visiting various key moments in American history along the way. 'Lara Croft - Tomb Raider' (2001) stars Angelina Jolie as a posh adventuress who sets out in search of a legendary artefact called the Triangle of Light. Unfortunately the Illuminati, a shadowy group bent on world domination, are also on the trail of the Triangle and will stop at nothing to gain control of its secret. 'The Untouchables' (1987) stars Kevin Costner as Eliot Ness, an idealistic treasury official who vows to bring an end to Al Capone's (Robert De Niro) corrupt hold over Prohibition-era Chicago. To this end, Ness puts together an elite team of law-enforcement officers (played by Sean Connery, Andy Garcia and Charles Martin Smith), and begins making bold strikes on Capone's bootlegging operation. Nevertheless, Capone's empire continues to thrive, and Ness realises that he must try a different approach. Finally, 'Mission Impossible 2' stars Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt, a super-spy charged with tracking down a renegade agent Sean Ambrose (Dougray Scott), who has stolen the antidote to a deadly man-made virus. To this end, Ethan enlists the help of Ambrose's ex-girlfriend, Nyah Nordoff-Hall (Thandie Newton), hoping to use her to get close to the villain. However, before he realises it, Ethan falls in love with Nyah himself, thus jeopardizing the integrity of the mission.
