Now in its second edition, this text presents the principles and applications of engineering metals and alloys. This new edition retains all the basic topics of the previous edition, such as phase diagrams, phase transformations, heat treatment of steels and nonferrous alloys, solidification, fatigue, fracture and corrosion. This second edition has been updated and rewritten for greater clarity, and more diagrams have been added to illustrate the concepts discussed.
