The diagrams are large and usually uncluttered and the text associated with each diagram is carefully placed. Scientific ideas are clearly and simply expressed and developed in the course of a chapter.
This would be a good textbook for general class use. It could also be used as a resource book by teachers looking for thought-provoking ways of developing physical concepts in pupils whose mathematical skills may not be very strong. I found the chapters on electricity and magnetism particularly attractive, because of the clear layout of the pages and the lucid development of ideas.
