Alison Alsbury is currently Centre Manager at Salters Shopping Centre, Droitwich Spa. Her job there includes both marketing and HR: promoting the shopping centre, and employing and managing its staff. She is a fluent linguist. Highlights of her previous, and highly varied, career are:



  • interpreting at several international trade fairs


  • running her own small business - a small translating company.

For nearly fifteen years, Alison has also worked as a freelance writer. She edited Maw on Corporate Governance - still a prescribed text on the subject. She interviews and writes regularly for recruitment and HR publications. Before her involvement with the Quick Answers series, she wrote European Executive Training - a Handbook for Senior Managers for Financial Times/Pitman. Her main 'hobby' has to be motherhood - solo parenting for four children for the last thirteen years.
