Double bill of 1930s dramas from director John Baxter. 'Say It With Flowers' (1934) follows husband and wife Joe (Ben Field) and Kate Bishop (Mary Clare), who make a living selling flowers at the local market. When they get into financial trouble, their friends at the market help them out by holding a benefit concert. 'Song of the Road' (1937) follows Bill (Bransby Williams), an ageing man who works for the council driving a horse and cart. When he has difficulty adjusting to the transition to motor vehicles, he takes his horse on a journey through the countryside where he hopes to find alternative work.
