There was an interesting development in British rock during the mid-'80s. Having moved through the traditional NWOBHM style for a while, a number of artists were developing a taste for the sound of America. It wasn't long before UK record labels caught on and looked to feed their American counterparts with similar acts. Shy had the sound, the look and the desire to take their music all the way to the top of the charts.
