Stories for feelings for children - Hilary Hawkes

A collection of short stories that can help children explore different feelings, thoughts and emotions in themselves or others. The stories can be read on a one to one basis with a child or to a group or class - or read by children themselves. Thought-provoking, positive and nurturing messages are contained in the stories, which can be talked about and explored after sharing. Themes include dealing with loss, feeling excluded, worries and anxieties, not bottling things up and being yourself. Can be used in school, at home or by play therapists/counsellors etc working with children aged six to twelve.
