Roly's Yard is an aviary tacked on to the back of a squat in Central Manchester and Roland Barnes is a killer. Or is he?

J Wallis Martin was born in Sussex. Her first novel, the Edgar nominated A LIKENESS IN STONE, was filmed as a two-part drama by the BBC. Her second novel, THE BIRD YARD, has been optioned for film. Both are available in New English Library paperback.
