The Downfall of the Third Reich is a military history of the Western Campaign from D-Day in June 1944 to the fall of Berlin in May 1945. The authoritative text is complemented by full-colour maps which explain the movement of forces. In addition, there are full-colour artworks of the uniforms, armoured fighting vehicles, aircraft and ships that took part in the campaign, with specifications tables accompanying the vehicle, ship and aircraft artworks. There are also text boxes on all the great commanders who directed the campaign in the West, such as Rommel, Patton, Montgomery and Eisenhower.With detailed appendices that contain information on orders of battle, losses and equipment, the book builds into a comprehensive account of the 1944-45 campaign in Western Europe.
