The Great Glen Way is a superb walking route through some of the most spectacular scenery in Scotland. The 70-mile walk takes you from Fort William at the foot of Ben Nevis all the way to Inverness, unofficial capital of the Highlands. Along the way, you'll follow the route of the famous Caledonian Canal, roam through pine-scented forests and stroll along the banks of three magnificent lochs. As well as the huge variety of birds and flowers you'll encounter in this region celebrated for its wildlife, walking the Great Glen Way is a perfect opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Bonnie Prince Charlie and to explore the sites of great battles.
