The hope of Christmas with Pope Francis - Amette Ley

Pope Francis considers Advent and Christmas to be the first sign of hope in the flesh. We know that through the resurrection of Christ, our hope of salvation is confirmed, and the Church looks forward to the time when Christ will return in glory. Christmas is where, for all the darkness in our lives, God's light shines forth. Using the words of Pope Francis, the author shows us the different ways that hope is manifested in these weeks leading to the birth of Christ.

Amette Ley is an academic tutor of the School of the Annunciation at Buckfast Abbey. She taught Religious Education for many years and holds an STL from the University of Leuven.
