The price of freedom - Mary Jane Staples

It's south London in the 1930s and Mrs Hilda Jones is bored.
Married life has not lived up to her expectations and she's sick of her dull and unimaginative husband.
If she doesn't get away fast, she'll become boring herself. Her three daughters are horrified and beg her to come to her senses but Hilda is adamant - she wants freedom to recapture her wasted years.
A shocking chain of events unfolds and suddenly there's a death.
Is it an accident or suicide...or something altogether more sinister, involving a heavy East End gang which has just moved into the area?
