Emily Scialom was born in Hackney, London, on 27 July 1984 and relocated to Glastonbury, Somerset, in 1986. She graduated from Liverpool University in 2007 with a BA degree in Communications, Media and Popular Music. She has lived in Cambridge since 1996.As a poet, she was initially published in 1992 and became internationally published in 2001. Her debut novel, The Religion of Self-Enlightenment, was released on 25 August 2016 by Olympia Publishers. Emily has written for magazines such as Standard Issue and newspapers such as Cambridge News.
