Ratty wants an adventure. Even a small adventure will do. But where Ratty, Cow and Woolly the lamb are concerned, adventures are never small, and again they face new challenges as they set out on an important mission, rescuing puppies and their mothers from two bad men who have locked them up in a barn.
As in the first two books, the warmth and sweetness of the characters, the idiosyncratic charm of the telling and the excitement of the narrative make this a most appealing story, given depth by the dark theme of cruelty to animals.
Helen Armstrong has worked as a professional teacher and trainer, and writes training guides on child welfare and child safety. She is married and lives in Wiltshire.
'successfully combines the kindness and warmth of the animal characters and the dark theme of cruelty to animals to produce an exciting adventure story.'
