1970s US comedy directed by Melvin Van Peebles. Racist insurance salesman Jeff Gerber (Godfrey Cambridge) lives a happy life in the suburbs with his wife, Althea (Estelle Parsons), until one day he awakens to discover his skin has changed colour. As he tries to come to terms with living as an African American, Jeff is subjected to racist abuse and harassment at every turn.
