The latest edition of the annual guide to Public Affairs in Wales, The Wales Yearbook 2009 was published in late December and is now available. Updated annually, this year's bumper edition marks the National Assembly?s 10th Anniversary with full details of the new legislative processes and LCOs and measures passed since the new powers came into place. The new edition also contains a review of the Local Government elections held in May 2008.
Now in its 19th edition, The Wales Yearbook remains the authoritative, standard reference book and compendium of factual information for contemporary public life in Wales. Essential for businesses, local government, charities, pressure groups, journalists and government officials at all levels. The Wales Yearbook is also an indispensable source of addresses, telephone and fax numbers, email and website addresses with over 5,000 named contacts. The Directory of Welsh Organizations, contained within the Yearbook, also lists 2,000 organizations, public bodies, trade unions, schools and colleges, daily and local newspapers and voluntary bodies based in Wales today.
