With Kinect, Microsoft's full-body-sensing, hands-free controller hitting the Xbox 360, you had better believe there are a couple of fitness games to join it. With the fitness genre having exploded in the wake of the Wii Balance Board, there's no more perfect a fit for the 360 now Kinect has arrived.
Your Shape: Fitness Evolved combines the Kinect sensor with Ubisoft's Player Projection system. This means that the player's silhouette is captured directly on screen, without the use of a pesky avatar to get in the way. The user is well and truly front and centre.
It's all about how you personally want to train, with Your Shape sculpting your workout to your own particular needs. You can get stuck in with a personal trainer, take a variety of classes including yoga, pilates, martial arts and boxing, or make the rest of your family workout alongside you with various mini-games. It's all calibrated right at the start of the game, when you'll take a fitness test and input your goals. From there, your schedule will be built.
If you need that added bit of motivation, you can also get online and use the Your Shape online portal, where you can share all your data and engage with the Your Shape community.
