English review follows

Stori am deulu sy'n ffermio fferm ydy hon, ac yn bennaf felly am fab y teulu, sef Harri Vaughan, sydd yn fyfyriwr yng Ngholeg y Brifysgol ym Mangor.
Mae ei ddyfodol yn edrych yn dda gan ei fod yn etifedd Lleifior, un o'r ffermydd gorau ym Mhowys, ac wedi dyweddo
Lisabeth, merch fferm ffyniannus gyfagos.
Ond ar l iddo raddio gydag anrhydedd dosbarth cyntaf ac ymgymryd
gwaith MA, mae e'n rhoi'r gorau i'r cyfan ac yn troi'n gomiwnydd.
Ond sut y gall e ddweud hyn wrth ei deulu?
A pha effaith a gaiff hyn ar bawb - y teulu a gweithwyr y fferm, Lisabeth, ei ffrindiau a'r cymdogion a phobl y pentref?
Mae'r stori yn dangos fod penderfyniad mawr Harri'n cyffwrdd bywydau llawer o bobl gyda chanlyniadau gwahanol.

Mae'r talfyriad yn ei gwneud yn bosibl i ddysgwyr profiadol fwynhau'r nofel enwog hon a cheir geirfa ar waelod pob tudalen i esbonio geiriau anodd neu dafodiaith.

Mwynheais ddarllen y llyfr yn fawr iawn, ac er bod yr iaith weithiau yn ddieithr i fi roedd yn eithaf rhwydd i'w ddarllen gyda chymorth y nodiadau.

* * *

This is a story about a farming family, particularly about the son of the family, Harri Vaughan, who is a student at University College, Bangor.
His future looks good as he is heir to Lleifior, one of the best farms in Powys, and he is engaged to Lisabeth, daughter of another prosperous farm nearby.
But after graduating with first class honours and embarking on an MA he gives everything up and becomes a communist.
How can he tell his family?
And what effect will it have on everyone - his family and the farm workers, Lisabeth and his friends and neighbours and the people of the village?
The story shows that Harri's big decision touches the lives of many people with varying results.

The abridgement makes it possible for experienced learners to enjoy this famous novel, and provides a vocabulary at the bottom of each page to explain difficult words or dialect.
I enjoyed reading this book very much and although the language was sometimes strange to me I found it quite easy to read with the aid of the notes.
