Refurbished MacBook devices are reliable. However, we suggest buying a refurbished device from an established retailer like musicMagpie instead of a private seller.
We refurbish tech by replacing any parts that aren't working and put devices through numerous testing.
Once we’re happy that the refurbished device is in perfect working condition, the item will then be resold.
On average, MacBook devices last up to 10 years. However, the lifespan of a MacBook all depends on usage and how old the device is when you buy it.
Different MacBook models have different processors and battery life. If you intend on using your MacBook every day then you may not get up to 10 years.
We put our refurbished devices through extensive testing, so your refurbished MacBook should work as new. You’ll also be covered by your 12-month warranty for any defects or faults.

The most recent releases will be more expensive compared to older models. Want to know which is the best MacBook to buy? Here are a few models we think you’ll like!
MacBook Air 2020
This model has a super-fast performance, thanks to the M1 chip and it has a very long battery life. The webcam has been upgraded compared to previous models and it still includes the Magic keyboard. It also has a stunning 13.3-inch Retina display and the Dolby Atmos audio support means certain TV shows or movies sound even better than before.
MacBook Pro 2020
If you have a bigger budget, then this model is a good option for an upgrade. It has an incredible 14.2-inch Liquid Retina display and a 120Hz refresh rate. It also includes MagSafe charging, a sleek design and an M1 chip that produces a super-fast performance.
If you have a smaller budget, then an older MacBook is the answer. However, you’re best sticking with a model from 2013 onwards including a MacBook Air or MacBook Pro. This is to make sure you can still get recent software updates, decent battery life and a fast processor.
