It's the summer of 1944, and doodlebugs - Hitler's deadly flying bombs - are raining down bringing fear and destruction. Nobody is safe, and the next attack could come at any moment. When it seems like the war will tear Sandy's family apart, can they find the courage to survive? A thrilling and accessible introduction to the Second World War for younger readers, as seen and experienced by an ordinary child of the time.
