Norwegian animated feature for adults, with an English screenplay by Simon Pegg. The all-star English voice cast includes Woody Harrelson, Kyle MacLachlan, Jim Broadbent, Samantha Morton and David Tennant. The film follows four lowlifes - Roy Arnie (Woody Harrelson), Odd (Simon Pegg), Gaz (Phil Daniels) and Flea (Jay Simpson) - who are employed by Ringmaster Stromowski (Jim Broadbent) in his miserable, rundown touring Russian circus. The star attraction of the circus is Jimmy, an elephant kept 'happy' on a cocktail of drugs. But on the circus's opening night Jimmy escapes, and a cross-country escapade ensues as the circus employees try to get hold of the errant elephant before he goes cold turkey. To complicate matters further, a deranged bunch of animal activists are also hot on Jimmy's tail, not to mention the Lappish Mafia who want to get hold of a lucrative bit of information that only Jimmy knows. The beleaguered pachyderm's only chance of escape is a benevolent moose who befriends him on the road. Can he free Jimmy, release him from his addiction and save him from his army of pursuers?
